24.1.10

I am half awake.

I am half awake,

My head sinking down,

And heavy eyes,

No surprise,

Are red,

And wild.

And my other side,

Full of life,

Still pumping blood,

And spouting,

Precision.

While I wait,

Rhythm extends a grip,

Squeezes my shivering bones.

A naïve and holy,

Infant like sound.

But this sweet cry,

Deep and sly,

Comes forth from inspired souls.

Elated and transported,

Via wire and light,

To my mind’s delight.

So, half headed,

And in disarray,

I remain.
